Day 15 – Rest day in Oamaru

Today a sleep in and bit of chill time which I have been looking forward to after the last big week. Some time to catch up on phone calls and get in touch with people for the next week.
I was super lucky and Amber my sis had organized a massage for me, Kay did a amazing reflexlogy treatment on my feet. Felt awesome. Thank you so much.
After some lunch Rick headed off for a haircut to look his best and I went to visit the Oamaru Intermediate School. A young student from Room 12 by the name of Jesse had written me an email to ask if I could come and say hi. Of course I can bro – they were great, heaps of questions and keen to see how I was going which gave me heaps of power knowing that everyone is getting interested in our run. Then they gave me an awesome letter (now on my van wall inside), some bananas, chocolate and a powerade so tomorrow I have all of that great stuff to get me to Studholme. Thank you Room 12 for getting in touch and saying hi.
Tonight we are staying at the Oamaru Top 10 Campground which has been kindly donated by Shayne and Tracy. Thank you so much for your support.
Now chilling out and getting my mind ready for this next week of running. Look forward to meeting whoever is going to be on the next corner I run around. Come on NZ, let’s make this happen in a big way.
We went out for dinner to Fat Sally’s Pub & Restaurant. Great atmosphere and food. Sally was awesome and donated our dinners. Please check them out when you come to Oamaru. Thank you so much Sally.
