Bluff to Wanaka and this week

Leaving Stewart Isl and and heading north I started dropping into schools and sports clubs again. I think every school I stopped at were excited about doing something when we come past, which is great. Thank you all.

I will be stopping in Makarewa, Dipton, Five Rivers, Kingston and Queenstown before running over the Crown Range to Wanaka. Some of the towns are real NZ and just little farming communities spread out around the valley. So beautiful to drive through and even more to run through. So friendly and welcoming, just what I’m wanting out of this trip.
Stayed the night with the Slaves in Queenstown which was awesome, haven’t seen the boys for a while now and was great to catch up. Dave is going to put us up when we run to Qtown. Tuesday morning Mark and Dave were ringing around their posse and we were off meeting people and talking about what we could get going here. Met the More FM radio team and they are going to help us get the word out – Thank you Janey and Henry. I think it will be a fun night in Qtown. Debs at the Queenstown Physio has said she will sort me out a little recovery massage which will be awesome, thank you so much Debs.
If anyone is in Qtown, please drop me a line and join me to run along the Frankton to Queenstown lake run – a beautiful and easy 7kms from the bridge at Frankton. I ran it return while there and it is great. Bring your camera, the views are amazing.

Went back over the hill to Wanaka via the Crown Range, which I was checking out very carefully as I have to run it – it will be a test and a half.

Then into the sorting of a million notes I have made while driving the country. I have had such a great response from everyone. Thank you so much.
This week I have been exploring Wanaka and all the new tracks around, running up tracks along the Clutha River and getting dad to drive me up the Cardrona Valley and to Treble Cone base and running back. So many places here just to get away with a couple of bananas, snack bars and 2 litres of water and enjoy the out doors while trying not to get lost.  Some of the tracks I haven’t been down so it is great to have adventure on your runs. Good tunes, fresh air and sunshine – PERFECT.
