Day 80, Day off in Asahikawa

After a great sleep and the sun out I thought we had better go out and enjoy Asahikawa.
These are a couple of photos I missed from the run yesterday.

We headed to Asahiayama Zoo which is very well known for all the different animals it has. Lions ,Penguins, Bears and lots more.
I thought it would be real expensive but for only $10 you can spend the whole day or you can get a year pass for $13. haha not much difference is there.





I was happy to see the Orangatans .They are awesome

We told these school girls that Marianne was a super french model and they loved it, all wanting photos with her. Shouldn’t do it but it is fun to see the girls go crazy about meeting her.

Then I had a call from Takuji who was Asahikawa for the day . We meet in Okinawa 3 months almost to the day ago and he has been driving around Japan making a movie. Amazing how we can both go so far but met up on the same day at the other end of the country.
He also just put out a book that him and 70 friends all made by doing a page each. A great little read and lots of photos. So many different people and stories inside. Just wish I could read it myself, SOmething to work towards i suppose .

I also found a mistake in my blog today In the running route pages. I had missed a couple of days (dates) hen I made it so I was 2 days ahead of what the real date is today. Couldn’t believe it when I found it. It means the finish date will be the 6th july not the 8th, I will be rinign around and letting people know in the next couple of days.
Kinda good for me as I have 2 less days to run so it is only 17 days to go and we are all done, crazy to think it will be over but remember we have been going for almost 3 months now, So fast aye.
Back on the road tomorrow heading towards Sapporo. Cant wait to catch up with some friends there.
