Top Gear Training support.

Today I went with Iida san to meet with a Rehabitation magazine and talk to them about our run. It was great to learn a bit about strokes in Japan and found out they dont really have a foundation or much way of helping people who are affected by a stroke, which is a real shame but I hope to try and help out by  learning heaps myself and giving help in what ever way I can, Maybe by writing a report and showing how we do it in NZ for a start.
Then after lunch I went and meet my new friend  Kenichi Shirakata who runs Top Gear . Top Gear  is a running training support company, they have 4 or 5 top class runners who take classes on how to  run and improve your running form.  They also run Holiday/clinic’s to amazing places in the world and you go for runs while enjoying where you are. Ken is keen to help us out and is getting the word out of our run here in Japan. He has also started to organzie a run with his friends for our Oct 29th world run.
I also tryed out the new design of barefoot running shoes today, very light and super comfortable . Basically feels like not having shoe s on at all. Ken also got me to try the “my test ” jump test, I just wore this hip belt with the machine on it and jumped straight up as high as possible, It then measures how your balance is ,height, power of your jump. I wasnt the best in a couple of them and was good to see where/what  I can work on .
A big thankyou to Ken and his team for all your support and gifts to help me out in NZ.
